What is HairDrop?
HairDrop provides the ultimate e-commerce platform where all users may upload their very own hair related products to sell! Our platform is a great way for you to upstart a new business or simply make some extra cash from your talents!
Our staff are extremely busy ensuring that they able to assist you in every way possible. However, we do ask that you do read the help section before contacting us, as it’s very likely that the answer to your question is given below! Thankyou for your co-operation, this enables us to attend to any enquiries in need of our immediate attention at a much faster rate.
What items can be sold on HairDrop?
We allow the sale of the following items on HairDrop.
- Human & Synthetic
- Wigs
- Bundles
- Closures
- Frontals
- Braiding Hair Extensions
- Accessories (including electrical)
- Hair Products
Alongside any other hair-related bits & bobs you can think of!
We do ask that all sellers give a completely accurate description of the items being sold to avoid customer dissatisfaction. Therefore we prohibit the use of images from the internet and if we do suspect that any item may be inaccurately represented, your item will be subject to removal from our platform.
We prioritise the safety of our customers, therefore, failure to comply may result in permanent account closure.
Are there any service charges to be aware of?
At HairDrop, we try out absolute best to ensure that all of our customers have the best experience possible whilst engaging in our platform. We utilise buyer protection methods and customer support so that we may assist in the ways that you need throughout your experience. This is why a small service fee will be deducted from each sale within HairDrop to ensure that we are able to maintain this amazing platform and improve based on your recommendations. So when you earn, we earn!
How can I list a variable/product?
If listing a simple product (e.g., one length and colour available), the following process is suitable;
1.Login
2.Click ‘Personal’
3.Click ‘My products’
4.Click the + in bottom right corner.
If uploading a variable product (e.g., multiple lengths/colours available, the process is slightly different;
- Login
- ‘Personal’
- ‘My Dashboard’
- ‘Products’
- ‘+’
- ‘Variable’ (top right)
- ‘Attributes’ (here you’ll add all the available variations of your product)
- ‘Variation’ (here you’ll add prices for each variation)
How can I request funds withdrawal?
First you’ll need to set up the bank account you wish to withdraw to:
- Click ‘Personal’
- Click ‘Withdraw’
- Click ‘Set up’ in ‘Payment Method’
You will then need to enter your:
- Account holder name ( Name on your card)
- Account type (Business or Personal)
- Your Account Number (Usually 8 digits)
- Routing Number (This is another word for your 6-digit sort code)
- Name of your Bank
All other fields are applicable to international users only.
Next, you’ll need to tick the box confirming that your are the owner of the account, then click ‘save’.
To request withdrawal of funds:
- Request Withdraw
- Enter an amount
- Enter your chosen method to receive funds
- ‘Submit Request’
Please note: These funds will only be released into seller’s account upon confirmation of receipt by the buyer as a practice of Buyer protection, therefore, we highly recommend that all sellers use tracked shipping with provision of given tracking number to keep as proof of shipment.
It is also important to note that funds will only be released into sellers account if the buyer is content with the order. If not, the buyer will be required to send proof of the items return to seller. We will then process a refund back to the buyers account. (Service Charges are non-refundable)
How does buyer protection work?
With every transaction made within HairDrop, a £6 service charge is added to ensure that we are able to provide buyer protection when eligible.
HairDrop will refund buyers for any of the following reasons:
- Item never arrives
- Item is significantly damaged upon arrival
- Item is not as described
If you have an issue with an order made within our platform, you’ll need to Contact Us immediately with proof of your complaint. We will then either arrange a return and refund, or simply process a refund.
If you are making an ‘item never arrived’ claim, please understand that we ask all sellers to upload a tracking number onto the system to keep yourselves and us up to date. Therefore, we will only refund the buyer if we can see that the item has not been delivered on the tracking system.
HairDrop is not liable for incorrect address input by customers, so we ask that you take extra care when uploading personal details onto the system to ensure a smooth experience.
Important: Please note, that any amounts refunded will be minus the service charge
For example;
If you paid £50 for an item and require a refund, the total amount refunded would be £44
We are unable to refund any service charges, as this allows us to continue to provide buyer protection.
When am I not eligible for buyer protection?
- If purchase was made through other platforms.
- If you have made a fraudulent claim
- If you have purchased any non-hair related item via our platform
How can I identify a scammer?
We take the safety of our customers very seriously, and although we try our best to continuously monitor this platform, we are also aware that it is not 100% possible to ensure that all users are genuine.
Here are some signs to look out for:
HairDrop sellers/buyers should never
- Ask for personal contact details
- Ask for banking details
- Request communication on other social media platforms
You should also be extremely cautious if:
- Images used appear to be taken from the Internet
- Pricing seems too good to be true
- Description is not clear
If you suspect any HairDrop user to be fraudulent, you should take action and contact us immediately, including the seller’s name, and any other details that you think may be useful while we conduct an investigation.
We advise that buyers communicate with sellers before purchasing any items to satisfy any queries at hand and to gather as much information as possible to clarify that the item in question is exactly what you are looking for!
Should I buy directly from seller on other platforms?
HairDrop is designed to allow niche hair businesses within the UK to self-promote via a platform with existing clientele.
We try our very best to ensure that all sellers on HairDrop are 100% authentic and genuine. However, we acknowledge that this may not always be the case regardless of our efforts, which is why we strongly recommend that all purchases are made within our platform, where buyer protection is guaranteed.
Unfortunately, purchases made outside of HairDrop are completely down to buyer discretion and will not be covered by buyer protection measures as the transaction would not be visible on our systems.
