HairDrop is an e-commerce platform, founded in 2023 by Lauryn Afriyie. HairDrop allows both niche businesses and ordinary people like you and me, to create an online shop, selling wigs, weaves, hair products and accessories.
The Vision:
“As of current, large companies dominate the Hair Industry with expensive pricing, high import tax rates and shipping rates. HairDrop allows local sellers to take over the spotlight within the UK, on a platform where unlimited clientele awaits your talent!
As a hairdresser myself, I have come across many influencers who are required to change wigs 2-3 times per-week in order to keep up with promotions. A frequent complaint that I’ve heard is in relation to the fact that it’s difficult to re-sell worn wigs after promotion, even after being worn only once
For me, customer service goes far beyond the few hours a client spends with me in the styling chair. I hope to completely revolutionize the hair industry, creating a spotlight and a platform for those who deserve recognition within.
In consideration of the current financial climate, affordability and the need for sustainability, HairDrop is not limited to existing businesses. Ordinary people like you and me can also sell/resell quality hair items at affordable prices!
